Would you want the rows in your garden to be labelled with singulars or plurals?
Singular: there's only one kind of plant there
Plural: since there's more than one plant, the label should reflect that
Don't care: as long as I can read it, the details are unimportant

Weather == Frightful

posted Thursday, 13 December 2007

Though not, fortunately, as frightful as the doom-and-gloomers were saying it was going to be.  I'm a little disturbed to note that I have already achieved the winter acclimation which says, "It's not below freezing, therefore I don't have to button my coat", but I admit I wasn't pleased to be rained on as I walked from the bus stop.  Still, rain's better than sleet during morning rush hour, so I'm not complaining too much.

I realize that it's not fashionable for an adult to like snow, but still: I hope there's snow for Christmas.  And I'd like to avoid the thing that happened last year where Winter woke up in late January and realized it had slept through the alarm, so getting things off to a good start now seems preferable to three straight weeks where the temperature never gets above 10°.
