Category

posted Thursday, 14 September 2006

So, you may (or may not) have noticed that there's a new category in my sidebar, that being "Shameless Commercialism".  The way this works is, companies pay me to write an entry about their product, using a specific phrase.  The idea is to up their hit count in search engines.  However, I don't want anyone reading the entries to think I'm doing it for pretty much any reason other than "because they're paying me", hence the category.  If you don't want to read my shameless commercialism, be not afraid; I'm going to keep posting things I actually care about as well.  Heck, I'd put these entries behind a password if I could do it and still get paid, but I can't.

The first line of each of these posts will be words to the effect of "This is a Shameless Commercialism post", and the titles will be indicative as well, so that those of you who wish to skip don't have to read more than that.

Well, the difference is that if I post a link in a non-SC post, it's because I personally think it's worthwhile and would do it anyway. :)
