In Her Web She Still Delights

Another Reason

Blond princess in red dress Blond fairy with blue wings on a pink background Brunette Atropos in a lavender chitonOK, another reason I'm not a feminist: I am having way too much fun playing dress up games with an online doll maker.  I haven't gotten enough into it to make anything as elaborate as these samples, but I'm still having a good time playing around.  I should point out that you don't have to do the standard fairy/princess thing; they have set of accessories for goth dolls, punk-rock dolls, pirate dolls, and even, wonder of wonders, some male dolls (though those are usually options under some other category). There's one that's so clearly a Legolas ripoff that you have to kind of admire their chutzpah--he's wearing an outfit that's more like what Elrond was wearing in the Council scene, but the hair makes it unequivocally Orlando Bloom.

Meanwhile I have a goth girl I'm rather fond of.  Isn't she cute? Goth girl with red ribbons and lots of lace I'm especially happy with the way the red hair ribbons mesh with the red stripes on her stockings.  Also, you can't see it very well but she has lace tights under her lace skirt, and the band on her neck is a necklace rather than part of her top.  What really amuses me is that her eye makeup and her nail polish were part of the same "piece"; these things work by having little overlays that maintain their spacings even if they aren't completely contiguous, and the nail polish is part of a tile that also includes mascara and lipstick.
