Would you want the rows in your garden to be labelled with singulars or plurals?
Singular: there's only one kind of plant there
Plural: since there's more than one plant, the label should reflect that
Don't care: as long as I can read it, the details are unimportant

When You Absoutely Positively Can't Roll a One

posted Sunday, 11 May 2008

Episode 99 contains one of the funniest dice superstitions I've ever seen.

Take all your d20s.  You're a gamer, this is a reasonably hefty number.  Roll them all.  Take all the dice that rolled ones and roll them again.  Any that rolled one again, take and insert in a container that won't let them tumble around.  Now the next time you're in a situation where you absolutely can't roll a one, use one of your pre-rolled dice, because the odds of a given 20-sided die rolling the same number three times in a row are around 1 in 8,000.

Hilarious.
