In Her Web She Still Delights

I think I've griped about this before, but my Pattern-a-Day Calendar is starting to bug me.  For one thing, right from the start it's not a pattern a day; weekends are combined--rather than 365 patterns a year, we're getting more like 312.  Then there's the fact that a fair number of patterns, maybe 10%, extend over more than one day.  And while I understand that it's got to be tough finding that many patterns that are attractive and can fit in the space the thing's got, one more "knit a garter scarf with this particular yarn" isn't really a pattern in the strictest sense, as evidenced by the fact that such copouts are usually named after the yarn.  I don't think this annoys me enough to stop buying the calendar, but it does annoy me.
