Well. The car is having issues with the exhaust system, so I took it off to the garage.
Four hundred dollars later, I guess I won't be paying those bills on Friday after all. Also puts paid to having the bicycle fixed this week, because when the replacement bolt broke in the middle of Liberty Avenue I went over the handlebars and managed to do something slight but unfortunate to the rear wheel.
I have a skinned knee, a bruised palm, and a little scrape on my chin; it could have been much worse. But Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, does this shit ever stop?
I have run out of people I can borrow money from. I'm reduced to contemplating selling dishcloths. I should drop World of Warcraft, or Netflix, or both, because I can't afford the extra twenty-five dollars a month. What the hell am I supposed to do with this?
I am very tired.
I suspect that I can help fix your bike (unless, you know, the rear wheel
has been totally Moebius'ed). I'm certainly willing to give it a try ...
Nah, you can hardly even see it; it's mostly that the wheel drags slightly
every revolution that let me know there was a problem at all.
If you were hurt...you should at least get a cool scar out of it. No point
in going through pain if you don't have a souvineer to show for it.
Yeah, you wanna know the annoying part? The mark on my chin pretty much
covers the scar I had from when I was small and my mom pushed me down the
steps. So I might not have that scar anymore once this one is done
healing.
Actually, you might end up with a scar on top of a scar....not that's cool.
It would be even cooler if you were a pirate.
I suspect it's just been timing. You won't be seeing me, at least, today
either since I have to go pick up my car.
I like the fact that Pittsburgh is small enough that you can run into
friends randomly fairly often...and yet large enough that I haven't run
into any of my exes...well, except for one, and that's because she works at
the Shape Edge and I love beer. :)
