Let me open by saying I love Whole Foods and Trader Joe's (in fact, I loved TJ when I lived in California and there was one six blocks or so from my house). But sometimes, they do let me down.
Last weekend I bought myself a box of "toaster pastries", otherwise known as "We aren't allowed to call these pop-tarts because that's a brand name", at TJ. They're all organic and stuff, and I was feeling all proud of myself because I know actual Pop Tarts are horridly bad for me and also contain like 50% styrofoam or extruded pasteboard or something.
I was very proud of myself until I got my knockoff pastries home and tried eating one. It's really nasty. The filling part is OK, but the pastry is tasteless, crumbly and way too dense and there's far too much of it. This brand (Nature's Path) makes other products that I have liked, but their toaster pastries are not going on my shopping list in the future, lemme tell you.
