The Knitty Spring 08 Surprise patterns are up--I am going to mention again that it's not a surprise anymore, since it happens every issue, and leave it at that--and they're both quite nice.
Froot Loop by Kristi Geraci is yet another sock pattern, but the nifty texture is kind of cool; it wouldn't show from a distance, but very few texture patterns do, on socks, and at least it'd be a lot more fun to knit than yet another plain stockinette sock.
I really like Tempest. The designer, Weaverknits, has picked a really lovely set of green shades, and the thing's got a neckline flattering to those of us with impressive bustlines. It's meant to be tight-fitting, which is also a flattering choice for most people. (Really. Strange, but there it is.) It's 100% wool, so I'd probably want to wear it with a light shirt under it rather than alone as it's shown, but for the uncertain spring weather and then again in the fall, that's not a bad thing.
What this world really needs, though, is more good patterns for men...
