Got honked at three times this morning, by two different people, all in cases where I hadn't actually done anything wrong except for keeping them from going quite as fast as they felt they were entitled to. It's possible that one of the people was just trying to let me know he was there, but if so he had a very poor grasp of how to do the kind of honk that means "I am here" rather than the kind that means "Get out of my way!" Cars ought to come with two different horn noises, I swear.
And, not to get too pissy, but I have just as much right to the road as you do. I attempt to keep out of people's way, because it is generally rude to slow folks up, but sometimes there's nothing I can do--sometimes I have to go around the guy who's trying to parallel park, or get in the left lane so I can make a left turn. That's just the way it works.
Also: keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get hailed on this evening.
I did a post a while back re: driving, and the lack of etiquette, so I know
your frustration. In NY, we had Thunderstorms from 4 PM well in to the AM.
And more promised for today.
