Or, in the immortal words of Willow, "Bored now."
Puzzle Pirates has a game I kinda like, the Navigation puzzle. Problem is, this is one of the puzzles that you can only play if you're of a certain standing in a crew, and it helps to have your own ship.
I found out, however, that you can navigate for the Navy (automated ships, they don't attack anything, just sail around)...but only if your experience in Bilging, Sailing, Carpenting and Gunning is Broad. You get experience, fortunately, just by spending time playing the games; it doesn't matter if you're any good at them. And my experience in Bilging, Sailing and Carpenting is already adequate.
But there's a reason I don't have much experience at Gunning, and that's because I hate it and am no good at it. If I want to nav, though, I have no choice. So I'm spending some time Gunning (badly). Blah.
On the upside, once I can nav for the Navy I can start memorizing routes. My goal is to have the whole ocean memorized at some point, at least all the inter-island routes. I think I'll live without being able to get to Atlantis sans chart.
But I have to disagree with Robin (How I Met Your Mother, an extremely cute show): In this case, guns are not fun.
