I've finished one Coriolis-pattern sock from New Pathways, and I am reasonably pleased; I decreased my stitch count just a bit, tightened up in general and fiddled the heels just a touch, and it's working rather better so I 'm pretty sure I can do another Riverbed pair that will fit perfectly. I just couldn't resist the Coriolis effect, which has a little cable that spirals around the foot. The increases are done by default with a kf&b1, but I'm imagining it with yarnovers instead for a more visible spiral. Do it in a sea-greens-and-blues yarn and it might even give a sort of bubbles effect.
1: Knit into the front leg of a stitch, then the back (if you do combined, like me, this requires remounting the stitch so the front leg is also the leading leg).
