I got to my bus stop a little early this morning, but the bus didn't come. And didn't come. And didn't come. Eventually a bus showed up--the next one, and some few minutes late itself.
Turns out that the early bus had been in an accident, according to a lady who had been on it; it was stopped to pick up passengers, and someone decided to pass it so as not to be behind it, but the passer didn't see the oncoming car and all three vehicles ended up in a tangle.
The really funny part is that, even with two buses' worth of people, it was rather less crowded on the one I ended up catching than the early bus generally is. I am chalking this up to the fact that a whole lot of people take off work or go to schools that are closed during the Christmas-to-New Year week.
