I have at last managed to both know where the camera was and have time to muck with pictures, so here we go: the Anemoi mittens, courtesy of a pattern by Eunny Jang. The picture isn't fabulous, but I think you can get the idea.

Note that the reason the cast on is a little loopy is because I didn't do Eunny's recommended tubular CO; after attempting it and not liking the results three times, I gave up and went for a conventional crochet CO. I have no idea why the thumb on the left mitten looks so pointy, because it's not in real life.
What I really love about these this that the pattern on the back of the hand is neither geometric nor symmetrical; it's organic and flowing. The simple checkerboard of the thumb and the diamond pattern on the palm (which I didn't get a shot of) are nicely contrasted.
