Got finished with the edging on the Snowdrop Shawl this evening (after being kicked out of Borders at 5 so they could close down for the Super Bowl. The mind boggles.) It still needs to be blocked, which will make it larger and even out some of the bad spots that came from recentering the plain triangle, and then I can sew the yarn ends in.
I still have no particular idea what to do with it. Someone on Making Light suggested that I give it to Project Prom or some similar thing, but I find I just can't bring myself to that. I can't see a kid whose clothing experience is mostly WalMart and the Goodwill store understanding the concept that this lacey shawl, despite looking like the $5 rayon thing, is actually the product of a lot of work. No doubt this is elitist of me.
