I'm done with the Anemoi mittens, and I am in love with them. They're very warm, the pattern is fabulous, and I picked good colors if I do say so myself. My only quibble is that I seem to have knit slightly tighter on the left mitten than the right, but I think that'll come out in the wash.
What overjoys me about the pattern (which costs $6 and is worth every penny) is the little details that don't necessarily make sense when you're doing them, but are afterwards revealed to be the only possible thing that works in that spot. That the green stitches are knitted rather than purled in the setup round for the ribbing--that's so there won't be a purl bump of tan showing. The pattern of slipped stitches in the setup for the hand after the ribbing is done. The way the checkerboard of the thumb works so that it's uninterrupted. I am just deeply in love.
I'll try to remember to get a picture when I get home.
